The concept of We Close Title originated in the spring of 2004 and we performed our first closing in the fall of 2006. Scott T. Gilbert, a local real estate attorney and owner of We Close Title LLC, is licensed to practice law in Ohio (2003) & Kentucky (2004). A significant amount of Scott's time is dedicated to real estate related matters.
Having worked at some of the largest title companies in the tristate area throughout his career, it became apparent that the existing model of title and closing services in the local area was outdated, cumbersome and consumer unfriendly. Not only was the technology and communication wholly inefficient, but the platforms available failed to address the consumer’s ultimate concerns; such as real-time communication, web-based document availability and faster order to closing table performance.
Scott is a graduate of the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law (2002) where he concentrated his studies in computer, copyright, intellectual property and technology law. He has clerked with the Federal Reserve Bank, various large real estate firms and served in the U.S. Army.
As an attorney and title agent for Land America Title Insurance Company and the Stewart Title Guaranty Company Scott has performed thousands of residential and commercial closings throughout the Tri-State.
